Shower Valve Repair & Replacement
Thermostatic and pressure-balance valves — temperature swings, weak flow and valves that will not shut off.
What you’re dealing with
The temperature swings when someone runs a tap, the shower will not get hot, or it keeps running after the handle is off.
Shower valve problems announce themselves as a comfort issue and end up being a mechanical one. Most are repairable without opening a tiled wall.
What the work may involve
- Diagnosing thermostatic versus pressure-balance behaviour
- Replacing cartridges, thermostatic elements and check valves
- Clearing the inlet screens that catch debris after building work
- Re-calibrating the temperature limit stop
- Replacing the valve body where the trim can be retained
Every job is different. This is what these jobs usually include, not a fixed scope — we will tell you what yours needs once we have seen it.
