You need work done in a condo, and the building has rules about shut-offs, elevators, insurance and working hours.

Condo plumbing is ordinary plumbing plus a building. The technical work is familiar; the access, the shut-downs and the neighbours are what need managing.

What the work may involve

• Coordinating riser shut-downs and notice periods with building management
• Booking the service elevator and protecting common areas
• Working within in-suite isolation valves where the riser cannot be shut
• Fixture installation and repair in finished, occupied suites
• Providing insurance documentation where the building requires it
